Abstract

Implementation of school-based management is based of part of the implementation of the decentralization of education in Indonesia. The three main variables in this research the performance of principals, teachers and community participation and performance is a patron of the successful implementation of MBS, therefore the purpose of research is being carried out to see the extent to which the performance of principals, teachers, and community participation in the implementation of MBS. These studies include the type of survey research, to the nine schools selected for the study sample with the consideration that in the early stages of implementation of the MBS is possible to come to fruition due to various factors that have such support, teacher resources, facilities, infrastructure and adequate school infrastructure adequate. The result of three main elements indicate, first, that the implementation of school-based management be seen from the performance of the principal tasks and functions such as a manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator can run quite well. Second, that assessed the performance of teachers through such aspects as completeness of the teaching program, presentation of subject matter, evaluation and analysis of students learning outcomes as well as the improvement and enrichment program running smoothly. Third, that public participation is fully demonstrated good cooperation with the school management. This happens because of high academic ability of the organization (school committee) to actively participate in planning activities, program monitoring and evaluation of the school.
