Abstract

The discusdion focus in this paper relates to text profile of Lontara Latoa in relation to character education in Lontara Latoa. The results discussion are,1) Lontara Latoa is an old manuscript of Buginess Bone has been influenced by Islam, 2) the character education in Lontara Latoa can be identified from the point that the completed life of human being is based on the religious values of Islam as well as the social values that he believes and Lontara Latoa really stresses about the mental building that is based on religious belief to Allah and the effort is the unity of noble character values and lokal genius values of Buginess Bone
